Theodo III.

Theodo III. (* 770 ; † after 793) was Duke of Bavaria. He was the firstborn son of Tassilo III. and his wife Liutberga .

At Pentecost 772 Theodo is anointed by Pope Hadrian I and has thus been given the status of a king . In 776 Tassilo made his son co-ruler. On October 3, 787, Charlemagne subjugated Tassilo and Theodo was taken hostage. After Tassilo was overthrown in the Ingelheim trial in 788 , the entire Agilolfinger family was taken to various monasteries and all members died in the monastery.
