Theodor Cellarius (born November 27, 1627 in Tübingen ; † 1677 ibid) was a German classical philologist and professor at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Theodor Cellarius enrolled at the University of Tübingen in 1643 and received his baccalaureate in 1644 . art. and in 1648 the Mag. art. and then studied Protestant theology. In 1650 he became a repetitionist . From 1654 to 1656 he was a deacon in Göppingen and from 1656 to 1660 the monastery presidential in Blaubeuren . He followed a call from 1660–1663 as associate professor and from 1663–1677 as full professor of the Greek language in Tübingen. 1660–1677 he was Magister Domus of the Protestant monastery in Tübingen. Two different portraits hang in the professors' gallery in Tübingen .
