Theodor Hergenhahn

Theodor Hergenhahn (born February 12, 1833 in Wiesbaden , † November 12, 1893 in Eisenach ) was a German legal scholar .

Life

Hergenhahn was a son of August Hergenhahn, President of the Appeal Court . He attended high school in Wiesbaden and from 1852 studied first theology, then law in Heidelberg and Giessen . In Heidelberg he was a member of the Corps Rhenania , in Giessen of the Corps Teutonia . In 1867 he became district judge in Limburg (Lahn), 1870 senior judge in Hildesheim, 1879 district judge in Colberg, 1880 district judge in Limburg (Lahn), 1886 in Kassel, 1890 there higher regional judge. In 1892 he retired and settled in Eisenach.

Hergenhahn wrote numerous legal writings, especially in the field of commercial law.
