Theodor Lutz

Theodor Lutz (* 1841 ; † 1890 ) was an engineer from Zurich . He lost his job with the Swiss National Railway due to the decline of the railway company . When the project for a railway line through the Seetal was pending, he designed the future Seetalbahn as a standard-gauge tram . He looked for donors by traveling to different countries and found it in London in the autumn of 1880 . Thanks to him, an English corporation financed the construction of the railway line.
