Theodor Mengelkamp

Theodor Mengelkamp (born January 28, 1924 in Dortmund , † July 21, 1967 in Iserlohn ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Mengelkamp, ​​who was of the Roman Catholic faith, attended high commercial school after completing secondary school and then completed an internship in industry and administration. From 1942 to 1944 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . In November 1944 he was dismissed from military service as a severely disabled person. From 1948 he worked in the automotive accessories industry, most recently as authorized signatory and sales manager in Iserlohn .

Political party

Mengelkamp joined the CDU in 1946, was chairman of the CDU local branch in Iserlohn and was elected to the state board of the CDU Westphalia . He joined the Junge Union (JU) in 1947 , had been JU state chairman in Westphalia since 1954 and a member of the JU federal board.

MP

Mengelkamp had been a member of Iserlohn's city council since 1955. He was a member of the Bundestag from 1957 until his death . He represented the Iserlohn constituency in parliament. Franz Falke moved up for him .
