Theodor Sproll

Theodor Karl Sproll (born January 27, 1957 in Konstanz ) is a German social and economic scientist, he has been Rector of DHBW Lörrach since 2013 .

Life

After graduating from high school in Constance, he did his military service with the Panzerbataillon 294 in Stetten am kalten Markt and studied social and administrative sciences at the University of Constance (1977-1982). From 1981 he was also an employee at the Institute for Social and Economic Sciences at the same university. In 1985 he became an external employee of the institute with his dissertation on drug lists and cost containment as a Dr. the economics doctorate. Between 2003 and 2005 he also studied in various programs at Harvard Business School, Boston, where he is an alumnus (AMP).

After various positions at Ciba-Geigy AG Basel (1982–1987), Hoffmann-La Roche AG, Grenzach-Wyhlen (1989–1998), Managing Director at Novartis Germany in Nuremberg (1999–2002), he joined Novartis Pharma AG in 2002 Switzerland Member of the Executive Committee, most recently with the function: Global Head Market Access.

Theodor Sproll was appointed professor and head of the business administration health management course at the predecessor institution of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Lörrach in 2007. From 2010 to 2013 he was prorector, since April 2013 he has been rector of the DHBW Lörrach, in July 2019 he was confirmed for a further 6-year term of office.

Theodor Sproll is married to Brigitte Sproll, they both have a son and a daughter.

Structure and positioning of the business administration health management course: concept creation, module descriptions, acquisition of training partners and lecturers.
Teaching focus: Marketing and Sales, Competitive Strategy, Branding, Negotiation.

Lecturer within the Erasmus program.
Head of the central health sciences group at DHBW

Sproll was appointed prorector and dean of the business faculty at DHBW Lörrach in 2010.
His election as rector of the university took place in March 2013, this election was confirmed in July 2019 for a further six-year term.
