Theodor Vollmer

Theodor August Friedrich Carl Vollmer ( January 3, 1817 in Braunschweig - March 29, 1899 in Neustrelitz ) was a German theater actor and director .

Life

One of Vollmer's first engagements was in Altona in 1837, then he was in Rostock, Prague, from 1846 to 1852 at the City Theater in Königsberg (debut roles “Don Cäsar” in Count Irun and “Cato” in Gottsched and Gellert ). During this time he created “Schiller” in the Karlsschülern , January 27, 1847 and “Georg Winegg” in Valentine , September 1, 1847. Then he was at the Schwerin Court Theater, from there he went to Frankfurt as his first lover (debut roles “Robert "In memoirs of the devil ," Dr. Hagen "in prison ," Ferdinand von Drang "in He must go to the country and" Richelieu "in Ein Ring ). He was married from 1848 to opera singer Marie von Marra-Vollmer , their son Arthur Vollmer became an actor.
