Theodor von Weizsäcker

Theodor Weizsäcker , von Weizsäcker since 1880 , (born August 14, 1830 in Ellwangen ; † 1911 ) was a Württemberg politician and civil servant in the postal and railway administration.

Life

Weizsäcker studied law in Tübingen and became a member of the Tübingen royal society Roigel on July 15, 1849 . In 1854 he became assistant judge in Horb am Neckar , in 1856 cameraman in Heidenheim , in 1857 legal advisor at the post office in Stuttgart, in 1864 financial assessor at the Württemberg railway commission and in 1867 at the railway administration. In 1868 he was promoted to Finance Council, in 1876 to Oberfinanzrat and in 1883 to Ministerialrat. In 1883 he became the representative of the Kingdom of Württemberg at the Bundesrat, in 1884 he was head of the General Directorate of Posts and Telegraphs and in 1887 President there. In 1901 he retired.

MP

Theodor Weizsäcker was a member of the state parliament for Marbach from 1876 and a lifelong member of the Chamber of Notaries from 1890 to 1902.

Awards

Weizsäcker was raised to the personal nobility in 1880.
