Theodora von Fiedler-Wurzbach ( February 7, 1847 in Lemberg - June 24, 1894 in Strasbourg ) was an Austrian theater actress and acting teacher .

Life

Fiedler-Wurzbach was born as the daughter of the lexicographer Constantin von Wurzbach and Antonie Hinzinger. Her brother was the art historian Alfred von Wurzbach .

She devoted herself to her theatrical career at an early stage and made her debut as a trainee in Prague in 1862, recommended by court actor Josef Wagner , she was first used in small roles (such as "Therese" in Still Waters Are Deep , "Fenisa" in Donna Diana , "Mirza" in Dream a life , "Emilia" in Othello etc.). She then went into engagement first in Altenburg, then in Lübeck and in the Stadttheater am Brausenwerth in Elberfeld, until she finally received an application to the court theater in Dessau in 1869, where she filled the subject of heroines and female character roles for almost eleven years and took a very first position .
