Theodosios Deacon
Theodosios Diakonos ( Greek Θεοδόσιος ο Διάκονος , 10th century ) was a Byzantine poet.
He is known only for his epic The Capture of Crete ( Ἅλωσις τῆς Κρήτης ) in the amount of 1039 twelve-syllables , which he wrote in 962/963 to celebrate the reconquest of the island of Crete, which was occupied by the Arabs, in 961 by Nikephoros Phokas .
