Therese Both

Amalie Pauline Therese Hulda Both (born April 30, 1852 in Berlin , † June 28, 1940 in Weimar ) was a German theater actress .

Life

Both, daughter of a master dressmaker, took dramatic lessons from Heinrich Grans and began her stage career in Erfurt in 1868, from there she came to the court theater in Detmold, then to the court theater in Darmstadt , in 1873 to Berlin, in 1874 to the court theater in Dresden. After that, the artist, who had set up her permanent residence in Weimar, only appeared as a guest on major stages.

Her life after 1902 is unknown.
