Thet Sambath
Thet Sambath (* 1967 ) is a reporter and filmmaker from Cambodia .
Life
The Khmer Rouge killed Thet's parents, brother and uncle.
Nuon Chea , Pol Pot's deputy , publicly confirmed the crimes of the Khmer Rouge to him for the first time. In 2009, Thet processed the recordings of these interviews, which were conducted over several years, into the documentary Enemies of the people , which won an award at the Sundance Film Festival 2010 in the category: " World Cinema - Documentary ".
He also received the Knight International Journalism Award .
Personal
Thet lives in Phnom Penh and has a wife and two children.
