Thibaut Bourgeois , often wrongly also Thibault Bourgeois , (born January 5, 1990 in Maizières-lès-Metz ) is a French football player who has been under contract with the Luxembourg club UN Käerjéng 97 since 2016 .
Career
society
Thibaut Bourgeois began his career at FC Pierrevillers at the age of four until he joined FC Metz in 2002 at the age of twelve . On May 21, 2007, he and his teammate Joris Delle signed his first professional contract with Metz, which was dated until June 2010. But it wasn't until 19 December 2008 that he made his debut in the Ligue 2 game against ES Troyes AC , when he came on when he was 3-0 down in the 57th minute and scored the 3-1 goal in the 71st minute. At the end of the 2008/09 season he came on seven missions and scored two goals. In the 2009/10 season he got significantly more opportunities. On October 2, 2009 (9th matchday), his team were down 2-0 against Stade Laval until Bourgeois scored two goals within seven minutes and Pascal Johansen converted a penalty to a 3-2 win five minutes from time. The promotion to Ligue 1 hoped for by the club should not succeed at the end of the season. Bourgeois has made 25 appearances this season and scored four goals. The following season should be a little more unsatisfactory for Bourgeois, the native of Lorraine was used in only 10 games this season. Things didn't go well for his club either. The relegation to the third division could be prevented.
At the end of August 2011, Bourgeois moved on loan to third division club FC Martigues . Bourgeois rose with the FCM at the end of the season in the fourth division. For the following season he then returned to Metz, which in the meantime had been relegated to the third division. During this season he made 24 league appearances and scored five goals for his club. FC Metz rose to Ligue 2 for the 2013/14 season , where Bourgeois only made nine league appearances. On July 8, 2014 Bourgeois moved to CA Bastia free of charge . After a disappointing season on Corsica with only 11 games (0 goals), he moved to Belgium in 2015 to the lower-class club FC Jeunesse Lorraine Arlon and in 2016 to the then Luxembourg first division club UN Käerjéng 97 in the BGL Ligue .
National team
Bourgeois played for France's U-16, U-17 and U-19 national teams between 2005 and 2009. He has played for the French U-20 national team since 2010 and has played five games for them so far, scoring one goal in the 4-1 win over Japan.
