Thierry van Hasselt

Thierry van Hasselt , also Thierry Van Hasselt (* 1969 in Belgium) is a Belgian comic strip artist and publisher of comics .

Life

After graduating from the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels , Van Hasselt founded the alternative comic book publisher Fréon together with some of his classmates in 1994 . The colleagues were Vincent Fortemps , Denis Deprez , Jean-Christophe Long and Olivier Poppe .

The publisher published several dozen comics including Gloria Lopez in 2000 . In 2001 Fréon merged with the French publisher Amok to form FRÉMOK .

Works

  • 2003: Brutalis is the first work that van Hasselt produced exclusively on the computer. The French / Belgian dancer Karine Ponties was his model.
