history

The apartment building in the neo- baroque style was built by the architects Albin Lincke and Max Littmann . The building, together with houses 25 and 29, is part of a monumental group of buildings. The façade of No. 27 is the central aspect of the assembly as a raised central building like a risalit . The sculptures on the front facade were created by Anton Kaindl . Two atlases appear to have the central projection.

In 1946 the architect Wilhelm Becker created a studio for the painter Carl Durban , married to the painter Erika Durban-Hofmann , in the attic .
