Wilhelmine Mitterwurzer
Christine Wilhelmine Mitterwurzer , née Rennert, (born March 27, 1848 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † August 3, 1909 in Vienna ) was a German-Austrian actress.
She was the daughter of the actor couple Heinrich and Katharina Rennert, in 1867 she married the actor Friedrich Mitterwurzer (1844-1897).
Without having previously received an acting training, she first appeared on stage at the Wallner Theater in Berlin in 1866 . She then worked at the Deutsches Theater in Pest and at the Landestheater in Graz , and from 1869 at the Leipzig City Theater . From 1871 to 1909 she was a member of the ensemble of the Vienna Burgtheater .
She played naive, soubrettes and character roles .
Her final resting place and that of her husband is in an honorary grave in the Grinzinger Friedhof (group 11, row 3, number 11) in Vienna.
