Thilo Stralkowski

Thilo Stralkowski (born May 2, 1987 in Essen ) is a German hockey player .

Since 2002 Stralkowski was active in the youth teams of the DHB ; In 2003 he won the title at the U16 European Championship in Barcelona. In 2006 he took second place with the German team at the U21 European Championship, and in 2008 the team came third. The striker made his debut on February 8, 2011 in the opening game of the indoor hockey world championship 2011 in the German national hockey team , at the end of the tournament he had become indoor world champion with the team. He also won the title with the German team at his next two major tournaments: the 2011 European Field Hockey Championship and the 2012 European Indoor Championship . In between was a fifth place in the Champions Trophy . At the 2012 Olympic Games , Stralkowski won the gold medal with the German team by beating the Dutch team in the final.

Stralkowski has played a total of 98 international matches so far, 20 of them indoors. (As of February 8, 2015)

Stralkowski has been playing for Uhlenhorst Mülheim since he was four and last won the German field hockey championship with Mülheim in 2018 .

In June 2018 Stralkowski ended his active career at Uhlenhorst Mülheim .

Trivia

He is in training to become a pilot.
