Thomas Andergassen

Thomas Andergassen (born February 20, 1980 in Lindau (Bodensee) ) is a German gymnast .

Andergassen began his career at TSV Oberreitnau and then went to KTV Stuttgart (later MTV Stuttgart ), where he trained under coach Klaus Nigl. The multiple German champion finished eighth with the team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and won the bronze medal with the team at the 2007 World Championships in Stuttgart. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , he reached fourth place with the team. Then he stepped shorter, but performed z. B. still in the Bundesliga, where he became German team champion in 2014 with MTV Stuttgart .

Andergassen completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk and was a sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr . From 2008 to 2011 completed a degree in trainer training at the Sport University Cologne . He has been married since 2009.
