Thomas Baum (writer)
Thomas Baum (born December 28, 1958 in Linz ) is an Austrian writer , screenwriter and supervisor .
Life
Thomas Baum started as a writer with pieces like Rauhe Zeiten and Cold hands . He wrote main evening films such as The Confession and Delivered , several episodes for the series Tatort, Der Winzerkönig and The Rosenheim Cops and documentary episodes for the series Universum History . With director Andreas Prochaska he wrote the screenplay for the movie In 3 Days You're Dead (2006). He wrote Franckstrasse 137 and Happy Planet for the “Theater Phönix” in Linz .
He has also written a children's book ( Süleyman whistles ) and a novel ( Inversion ). In 2015 he published Danube so rot, his first crime novel about Commissioner Robert Worschädl, which was later followed by Fatal Forgery .
In addition to his work as a writer, Baum works as a supervisor, teaching supervisor and life and social counselor and as a lecturer at the Art University Linz . Until May 2019, he was a member of the regional cultural advisory board of Upper Austria .
Thomas Baum is married and has two daughters.
