Career

Bormolini began his international career with the start of the Engadin Skimarathon on March 11, 2012 as part of the Marathon Cup . As the 95th, however, he remained far behind points or top placements. As a result, he competed in several FIS junior races in the sprint and over the 10 km distance, but found his way back to the ski classics in winter 2013/14. On December 15, 2013 the Italian started at La Sgambeda in Livigno and finished 55th. In the 2013/14 season he remained without a point placement. He only made his breakthrough in the 2014/15 season . At the Transjurassienne he was 14th for the first time in the points and among the top 20. Bormolini also scored important points in the season finale, the Ugra Skimarathon in Khanty-Mansiysk , in 24th. In the end, he finished 82nd in the overall Marathon Cup ranking.

His twin brother Nicolas Bormolini is also active as a cross-country skier and also competes in the marathon and Worldlopped Cup.
