Thomas Brechler (born  February 8, 1986 in Berlin ) is a German football player . The 1.84 m tall striker has been under contract with SV Tasmania Berlin in the NOFV Oberliga Nord since 2020 .

Career

In his youth, Brechler played for the BSC Rehberge in 1945 . In 2002 he joined the Reinickendorfer Füchsen and moved up to the first team in early 2005. In the winter break of the 2005/06 season he moved to the second team of VfL Wolfsburg in the Lower Saxony league . Brechler became a regular player and rose in 2007 with the team in the then third-rate Regionalliga Nord . In 2008 this became fourth class with the introduction of the new third division . After more than three years, Brechler left the club for the 2009/10 season and joined KSV Hessen Kassel in the Regionalliga Süd . In the following season he scored eleven goals in 27 games, three of them on the last matchday in a 1: 4 away win against SpVgg Weiden .

In 2010, Brechler moved to former league competitor VfR Aalen , who had been promoted to the third division. He made his professional debut on the first day of the new season on July 24, 2010 in the 3-0 away defeat against second division relegated Hansa Rostock , when he came on for Robert Lechleiter in the 66th minute .

In January 2011 Brechler received another contract with KSV Hessen Kassel until the end of the season.

In January 2012, Brechler joined the first men's team of SV Altlüdersdorf from the NOFV Oberliga Nord. According to the association, the commitment was possible because Thomas Brechler had moved back to Berlin and was also favored by the fact that he knew some of the SVA players.

In July 2013 he joined SV Lichtenberg 47 (NOFV Oberliga Nord). In the 2013/14 season, Brechler managed to score 11 goals in 27 games and, with Lichtenberg, was third in the NOFV Oberliga Nord. In the following season 2014/15 he scored 14 goals in 25 games. He increased this rate again in the following season, Brechler scored 24 goals in 29 games, with Lichtenberg he was again third in the league. In the 2017/18 season, Brechler scored 20 goals in 25 games and provided 6 goals before Lichtenberg 47 was 3 in the season and has set a new point record this season (67 points).

From the 2020/21 season, Thomas Brechler will play for SV Tasmania Berlin (NOFV Oberliga Nord).
