Thomas Bucheli (born May 29, 1961 in Rothenburg ) is a Swiss meteorologist and television presenter .

Life

Thomas Bucheli grew up in Hitzkirch . In 1981 he obtained the Matura type C at the secondary school in Reussbühl , studied geography at the ETH Zurich and graduated in 1988 in meteorology, climatology and atmospheric physics, among other things . He then worked as a meteorologist for the then Swiss Meteorological Institute SMA until 1994, then for a year for the company Meteomedia AG . In 1992 he joined Swiss television, where he became the presenter of the Meteo program and from 1995 head of the weather department.

Bucheli is married and has one son.
