Thomas Flint

Thomas Flint (born October 17, 1966 in Wittenberge ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

Thomas Flint studied for his school in Wittenberg and in Schwerin and after military service as an officer on time from 1989 jurisprudence at the Humboldt University of Berlin . After the first state examination in law in December 1993, he worked as a research assistant at the Humboldt University until 1999 , during which time - again in Berlin - he began his internship in 1997 .

After the second state examination in August 1999, he worked as a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court with Jutta Limbach until 2001 .

In February 2001, Flint entered the judicial service and became a probationary judge at the Hamburg Social Court . The appointment as judge for life fell in October 2002. From November 2008 to the end of 2012, Flint was a judge at the Hamburg Regional Social Court before he was seconded to the Hamburg Social Court in January 2013.

On September 3, 2013, he was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court on October 1, 2013. Thomas Flint is responsible in the 14th Senate for matters relating to basic security for job seekers .

Thomas Flint has been a lecturer at the University of Hamburg since 2012 , where he teaches basic security law (livelihood security and social assistance - SGB ​​II , SGB ​​XII ). He is also a research assistant at the Hamburg Constitutional Court .
