Thomas Goersch

Thomas Goersch (born April 16, 1966 in Hofgeismar ) is a German actor , director and radio and television presenter .

Life

Goersch grew up with two brothers in several German cities, including Kassel, Freiburg and Stuttgart. In 1999 he completed his studies in business and banking law and married in August 2003.

Career

From 2001 to 2018 Goersch played well over 200 roles in cinema, music video and independent productions. He drew international attention with German-language productions under the direction of Extreme Footage director Marian Dora. Because of his complexity and his interest in different genres, he was repeatedly engaged in foreign film productions, which often have a strongly artistic or experimental tone, such as the films of the Polish director Malga Kubiak. Working with director Carl Andersen (1958–2012), Goersch appeared in award-winning scene productions. Director Alexander Tuschinski engaged him for the literary film adaptation of Woyzeck (Short).

For Mr. Berger is looking for a son , a German comedy in French style, for which he wrote the screenplay, he took over the direction, as before with the semi-autobiographical film Das kleine Fenster zum Glück .

Films with Goersch's participation have been shown and awarded in Poland, Sweden, France and the USA.

He was active as a spokesman for the radio comedy series Beauty Palais , which was broadcast in four countries on 24 radio stations.

From 2001 to 2008 Goersch was also co-editor and radio presenter of a club magazine, and since 2006 he has headed the theater agency Kreativepool Germany. As a food expert on the 1-2-3.tv shopping channel, he has been presenting delicacies and wines in the Goersch's Gourmet Buffet show since 2013 .

  • In an outline of Woyzeck , Miles Kreuger from the Institute of the American Musical on Goersch said: “And I`m fascinated by the fact that the actor, who plays Woyzeck looks so much like Gibsen Gowland , who played the leading role of Mc Teague in Erich von Stroheim's “Greed”.
  • The first role that Thomas Goersch took on in a film was immediately in Peter Hyam's coat-and-sword film The Musketeer . However, he is not listed in the cast lists.
  • In 2017 Goersch read the character Eddie from Jörg Buttgereit's Nekromantik -Comic at the Weekend of Fear in Erlangen .
  • Goersch is part of the artist ensemble that the author Daniel Hadrović engaged again for his experimental moving image installation Kill me .
  • Candice Breitz photographed Goersch along with other models for “ABBA Monument”.
  • Goersch repeatedly makes statements against racism with films like Wind der Ferne or his documentary Yezidis - Angekommen in Deutschland
