Thomas Höflich (born September 25, 1957 in Hanover ) is a German Protestant pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover and superintendent in the district of south-east Hanover.

Live and act

From 1977 to 1982 Thomas Höflich studied Protestant theology in Göttingen and Marburg and completed his studies with the first theological exam. From 1983 to 1986 he joined the vicariate in Oyten and the Rotenburg / Wümme seminary. After the second theological exam he was ordained in 1986, was pastor in St. Petri Oyten in the Verden parish from 1986 to 1998 and pastor in St. Nicolai Sulingen in the county of Bentheim from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Höflich was pastor at St. Bartholomew in Demmin and superintendent in the Demmin parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church.

In September 2005 he was appointed superintendent of the Hanover-East department, which was merged with the South department to form the South-East department in 2013. Superintendent Höflich is the successor to Michael Klatt, who had been superintendent in the eastern administrative area since August 1992 (until 2000 the church district of Hanover-East).

Thomas Michael Höflich is married and has three children.

Thomas Höflich is Superintendent of the South-East Office in Hanover. He works as a pastor in the Petri and Nicodemus parish in Kleefeld; the Petrikirche is superintendent church. Since the end of September 2019 he has also been acting city superintendent in the City Church Association of Hanover until the new election.
