Thomas Kiefer (musician)
Thomas Kiefer (* 1977 ) is a German church musician and university professor .
Kiefer studied church music at the Saarbrücken University of Music . He passed his exam in choral conducting with distinction. He completed his education by studying at the Royal Stockholm Academy of Music . In 2004 he won the International Competition for Young Choir Conductors in Vienna . In 2005 he was appointed cathedral choirmaster at Trier Cathedral . Kiefer has been Stephan Rommelspacher's successor as cathedral music director since 2013 . In 2016 he was appointed professor for choral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna .
