Thomas Kramer

Thomas Kramer (born September 16, 1959 in Zeitz ) is a German literary scholar.

Life

Between 1981 and 1986 he studied at the University of Leipzig and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD . Since February 1, 2000, he has been a research assistant at Rüdiger Steinlein . In 2001 , Kramer qualified as a professor for modern German literature . He is a private lecturer at the Humboldt University in Berlin in the literary studies department.

Kramer became known to a wider audience primarily through his publications on the comic magazine Mosaik , to which he dedicated several books and articles. In addition, he mainly dealt with the adventure and entertainment literature of the Weimar Republic, the time of National Socialism and primarily the GDR. He is currently working on the creation of the handbook History of Children's and Youth Literature in the GDR , a DFG project for which he primarily writes the chapters "Tension and adventure literature in the GDR" and "Children's and youth magazines in the GDR". He is also involved in the DFG research project "Program history of GDR television history - comparative" and is working on the topic of "Literature adaptations in GDR television - a contribution to a history of style and reception of literary adaptations in the GDR".
