Thomas Mavros ( Greek Θωμάς Μαύρος ; born March 31, 1954 in Athens ) is a former Greek football player .
Career
Mavros started his career with Panionios Athens in 1970. In 1976 he moved from Panionios to AEK Athens without consent . At AEK he was twice Greek champion and twice won the Greek Cup. In 1987 he returned to Panionios and ended his career in 1991. At AEK he was three times top scorer in the Greek league, at Panionios in 1990 again. In 1979 he even won the Silver Shoe in Europe. He is the all-time Greek league scorer.
Internationally, he played 36 times for his home country Greece, scoring eleven goals. He took part in the 1980 European Football Championship in Italy . He was used in all three games.
