Thomas Peter Heckmann is a German techno - DJ and - music producer and record label founder.

Career

Heckmann was shaped by artists such as Kraftwerk , Jean Michel Jarre and Pink Floyd .

He began making music around the age of eleven with equipment such as fan organs , echo mixers and plastic objects. He later recorded his first multi-track tracks with a Casio VL-1 . A phase followed in which he experimented with styles such as EBM , synth-pop and industrial , among others .

The first commercial release appeared in 1991, the single Liquid under the alias Exit 100 on the Frankfurt label Force Inc. Music Works .

In 1993, Heckmann founded the Trope Recordings label and its subsidiary Acid Fuckers Unite (AFU) in 1994 . In 1998 he founded Wavescape and in 2000 its subsidiary label Sub ~ Wave .
