Thomas Pesendorfer (born February 20, 1952 in Marchtrenk , Upper Austria) is an Austrian engraver and coin designer. Signature: TP.

Thomas Pesendorfer, who originally wanted to become a sculptor, attended the metal design college in Steyr . With this education he began an apprenticeship at the Austrian Mint . His first design was a 20 shilling coin with a portrait of Joseph Haydn . His most famous design is the Philharmonic . Pesendorfer has been the Mint's chief engraver in Austria since 1993.
