Thomas Røll

Thomas Christopher Røll Larsen , short Thomas Røll (born March 12, 1977 in Aarhus , Denmark ), is a former Danish football player.

Thomas Røll was born in Aarhus, but grew up not far from the German border. His first clubs were Bylderup Bov and Tondern SF . In 1996 he started his career at Silkeborg IF . With the Jutes he was runner-up in the SAS league in 1998 and won the Danish Cup in 2001 . In the summer of the same year he moved to FC Copenhagen . At the Danish capital club, Røll quickly became a regular player. With the FCK he was Danish champion in 2003, 2004 and 2006. In 2004 the double (championship and cup) was even won. In January 2006 he was loaned to his home club Silkeborg IF. In the summer of 2006 he left FC Copenhagen and moved to FC Midtjylland . There he only came to a few missions and was loaned to Viborg FF during the winter break of the 2007/08 season. The loan contract ran until the end of the year. At the end of 2008, Røll finally moved to Viborg. In the summer of the same year, however, he ended his career.

National team

After good performances in Copenhagen, Morten Olsen, the national coach of Denmark, called Røll into the Danish national team . He made his debut on October 12, 2002, in the Danes' 2-0 victory over Luxembourg , when he came on for Martin Jørgensen in the 75th minute . He only played eight caps for Denmark and scored one goal. He made his last international match on March 31, 2004 in Gijón against Spain .
