Thomas Reck

Thomas Werner Reck (born January 16, 1964 in Ulm ) is a former German hockey player and two-time silver medalist at the Olympic Games.

Thomas Reck played for Münchner SC during his career . In 1982, Reck was part of the German squad at the Junior World Championship in Kuala Lumpur, where the German team won the title. In October 1982 he made his debut in the German national hockey team . His first major success was the bronze medal at the 1983 European Championships. In 1984, Reck won the European Indoor Championships with the German team . At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, Reinhard Krull and Thomas Reck, ten years older than him, were two players for the right wing position in the German squad, who took turns. Both players also played in the final against Pakistan, which the German team lost 2-1. Thomas Reck won the bronze medal at the 1986 World Championships in London and at the 1987 European Championships in Moscow. 1988 in Seoul , Reck lost another Olympic final, this time against the British team. From 1982 to 1991, Thomas Reck played in 193 international matches, 29 of them indoors.
