Thomas Roithner

Thomas Roithner (* 1971 ) is an Austrian peace researcher and trained social and economic scientist. He works as a private lecturer in political science at the University of Vienna . His research, teaching and journalistic activities include: a. the security , defense and peace policy of the EU and Austria , neutrality, nuclear armaments policy or global power shifts. Thomas Roithner and Pete Hämmerle are campaign leaders for the introduction of a civil peace service in Austria. The examination of the Civil Peace Service was included in the Austrian government program in January 2020.
