Thomas Schürmann

Thomas Schürmann (born December 15, 1975 in Werne ) is a German call-in , teleshopping and television presenter .

Schürmann began his career as a radio presenter and reporter at Antenne Unna in NRW local radio. At 17 he was one of the youngest radio presenters in North Rhine-Westphalia . At Radio NRW he gained further experience in radio, later he worked as a presenter at MDR. In 2001 he became a presenter from the very beginning at the newly founded Call TV channel 9Live . In addition to the usual requests to call the 01379 number, he had his own reality TV show on 9Live called Schürmann's bid.

In September 2003 he hosted the longest TV quiz in the world for 52 hours and 45 minutes at 9Live together with Alida Kurras , Anna Heesch , Jörg Draeger and Robin Bade . The world record was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records and is still in place today.

Schürmann also moderated other call-in formats produced by 9Live on other TV channels, such as the Sat.1 program “Quiz Night”. He was also a part of the "response teams" in the show Willis Quiz Quark Club on the KI.KA . Since October 2006 he has also moderated the clip show The funniest mess in the world on RTL . In March 2007 his new program "Die Autobastler" (RTL) started. After 9Live discontinued its call-in business model on May 31, 2011 and a little later the broadcasting operations, Schürmann found a new job in August 2011 at the teleshopping broadcaster HSE24 . Since 2015 he can be seen as a jewelry expert at the Düsseldorf teleshopping channel QVC.

Thomas Schürmann is also musically active. He appeared in an opening act for the band Caught in the Act . In autumn 2008 he produced “Das Schäferlied” by Schäfer Heinrich from the RTL hit show “ Bauer sucht Frau ”.
