Thomas Schwarz (born February 21, 1958 in Engelsdorf ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Since 2002 he has been a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

After graduating from school, Schwarz began training as a machining specialist in 1974, which lasted until 1976. He then served as a non- commissioned officer in the NVA until 1979 . He qualified as a professional driver and from 1983 worked on the so-called natural gas route in the Soviet Union . From 1988 he worked as a bus driver in Schwerin . Black is non-denominational, divorced and has two children.

politics

Schwarz joined the SPD and became chairman of the local SPD association in Demen . He was state chairman and district chairman of the Working Group for Employee Issues (AfA) and became chairman of the SPD district association Parchim . He is a member of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district council. In the state elections in 2002 he was able to move into the state parliament for the first time, which he repeated in 2006, 2011 and 2016 through a direct mandate in constituency 32 - Parchim II. In the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania he is the spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group for workers' policy.
