Thomas Streit (born June 24, 1965 ) is a former German soccer player .

The 1.81 m tall defender from Osann-Monzel played a total of 9 games for FSV Salmrohr in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1986/87 season . This season was the only one of the FSV in the second division. Thomas Streit came to FSV Salmrohr in 1983 from TuS Osann-Monzel.

Later, at the age of 26, the master butcher Streit took over his parents' butcher's shop and around 2005 he invented the bitling , a sausage with a twelve percent share of a typical regional beer.
