Thomas Sutter
Thomas Sutter (born October 1, 1973 in Appenzell ) is a former Swiss wrestler .
Sutter prevailed against the favorite Eugen Hasler in the final course in Chur in 1995 and was king of wrestling . Nine years later he was again in the final aisle at the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Lucerne . He succeeded in wresting a stand (tie) from the future king of wrestling, Jörg Abderhalden .
In his 16-year career as an active wrestler, he won five Swiss wreaths and 29 wreath festivals, including once each the NOS and SWS, twice the Schwägalp wrestling festival, once the Weissenstein and 23 cantonal wrestling festivals. As a 70-time wreath winner and as Unspunnen winner in 1993, he was one of the most successful wrestling personalities of his generation.
