Thomas Toth

Thomas Toth (* 1986 in Mainz ) is a German director and editor.

Life

Thomas Toth studied media design at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences .

2014 may be produced with Michael Schaff documentary Qalqiliyas Zoo was for the Next Generation Short Tiger selected in 2015, a short film program in 1998 by German Films and the Film Board was established (FFA). The film describes in a very unique way the situation in the city of Qalqiliya using the example of the last zoo in the Palestinian Territories . The film premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival .

Toth's final thesis for his bachelor's degree was the documentary A Bit of Normality , which won first prize in the category “best regional short film” at the Lichter Filmfest in Frankfurt. The film also won the Hessian Film Prize 2015 in the “Short Film” category.
