Thomas Wannenmacher

Thomas Wannenmacher (* 1970 in Graz ) is an Austrian confectioner, commercial artist and “ fact checker ”. In 2011, together with Andre Wolf , he created the page Think first - then click on Facebook , which was later converted into a non-profit organization called Mimikama . The association is referred to by the media as a “fact check portal”.

Life

Wannenmacher moved to Vienna with his mother at the age of seven . After finishing school, he first did an apprenticeship as a pastry chef. He then worked as a waiter and as an insurance agent in part-time jobs. He later started working as a commercial artist without having had any training.

Since 2011 he has been working with a team and with the group members of his Facebook page on the Mimikama portal.
