Thomas Winnington, 3rd Baronet
Sir Thomas Edward Winnington, 3rd Baronet (March 13, 1779 - September 24, 1839 ) was a British politician.
Life
Thomas Winnington was the eldest son of Sir Edward Winnington, 2nd Baronet and his wife Anne Foley, daughter of Thomas Foley, 1st Baron Foley . He had four brothers and five sisters. He attended Eton College and studied at Christ Church College of Oxford University .
On January 9, 1805 he succeeded his father as 3rd Baronet , of Stanford Court in the County of Worcester . From 1806 to 1807 Winnington was the High Sheriff of Worcestershire . In the further course of his life Winnington belonged several times to the House of Commons . From 1807 to 1816 he was Burgess for Droitwich , from 1820 to 1830 Knight of the Shire for Worcestershire, from 1831 to 1832 again Burgess for Droitwich and finally from 1832 to 1837 Burgess for Bewdley .
On November 11, 1810, he married Joanna Taylor. The marriage resulted in three sons and four daughters. His son Thomas succeeded him as 4th baronet.
