Thomas Wohlfahrt (writer)

Thomas Wohlfahrt (born July 13, 1956 in Eisenach ) is a German philologist and literary scholar.

Career

In 1991 he was the founding director of literaturWERKSTATT Berlin and has been its head ever since. He directed the Literatur Express Europa 2000, the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival and the Berlin Poetry Festival . He wrote essays and a. to Georg Büchner, Christa Wolf and the Volksbühne movement in Berlin.

Awards

In 2005, the website “Lyrikline - Poetry listening and reading”, which is jointly managed by Wohlfahrt and Heiko Strunk, received the Grimme Online Award in the “Culture and Entertainment” category.
