Thor Leonardo Halvorssen Mendoza

Thor Leonardo Halvorssen Mendoza (* 1976 ), usually just called Thor Halvorssen , is a Venezuelan human rights activist and film producer.

Halvorssen is the founder of the Oslo Freedom Forum , an annual meeting described by The Economist as "a spectacular human rights festival ... on the way to becoming a human rights equivalent of the Davos Economic Forum". Halvorssen is President of the Human Rights Foundation . He is the patron of the Czech children's peace movement "On Own Feet". He is also the founder of the Moving Picture Institute . In May 2010 he bought the Norwegian news magazine Ny Tid and is also a columnist for the Huffington Post .
