The Thorne Point is a headland at the Loubet coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the northwestern extension of the Arrowsmith Peninsula and the western limit of the entrance to Langmuir Cove .
Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) surveyed the headland in 1960. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1959 after the meteorologist John Thorne (* 1928), who worked for the FIDS on Detaille Island in 1956 and 1957 .
