Thorsten Trelenberg (2019)

Thorsten Trelenberg (born May 30, 1963 in Schwerte ) is a German poet.

Life

Born in Schwerte , Trelenberg lives and works there today as a freelance writer. He writes poems and stories, and he also designs children's picture books. He also works on interdisciplinary art projects.

Since 2015 Trelenberg has chaired the jury and served as secretary for the Alfred Müller Felsenburg Prize for upright literature, which he himself was awarded in 2012. He is a member of the Association of German Writers and their district spokesman in the Dortmund regional group. Trelenberg is also a member of the board of the Fritz Hüser Society .

1998: Winner of the 3rd literary competition in the Unna district for a short story
2005: Nomination for the Ernst-Meister-Lyrikförderpreis of the city of Hagen
2006: Appreciation as part of the EmscherKunstTage for the project "Source of the stream of trees in the grove of poetry"
2012: Alfred Müller Felsenburg Prize for upright literature
2015: artist-in-residence Klaustrid at Skriduklaustur, Iceland
2016: artist-in-residence Hvitahus Hellisandur, Iceland
