Thrombosthenin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Thrombosthenin or Retraktozym were in the 1960s of thrombocytes (platelets) in the blood clotting released contractile proteins referred to under ATP -consumption in the presence of calcium - ion contraction (retraction) of the clot effect and the strength of the platelet mass and its adhesion strengthen the vessel wall . Since it was initially assumed that these proteins were similar to the actin - myosin system known from muscle cells, a distinction was made between "thrombosthenin A" and "thrombosthenin M". It was later proven that “thrombosthenin” is actually actin and myosin, so that the term “thrombosthenin” is no longer in use today.
