Thury Horath

Arthur "Thury" Horath (born May 10, 1948 in Goldau ) is a Swiss all-round / country musician from the canton of Schwyz . The technical businessman, car and motorcycle mechanic and part-time clarinet and saxophone teacher is married and has two children.

He started his musical career with a second-hand recorder in the 2nd primary class. At thirteen he started playing the clarinet and joined the local music association in 1963. 1963-71 followed a station as a dance musician with the accordionist Adolf Schmidig. In 1971/72 he formed a Ländlerkapelle with Martin Nauer , who then moved to the Ländlerkapelle Martin Beeler . With the accordionist Martin Suter, Horath founded the Ländlerkapelle Thury Horath , which no longer officially exists today. From 1995 to 2001 he dedicated himself to light music with the duo The Berrys . Since 1995 he has played as a clarinetist during the theater season in the theater orchestra in Arth .

To date, around 700 of his own compositions have been created in his work.
