features

Thymbra calostachya is an upright or ascending shrub 20 to 40 centimeters tall . The leaves are lanceolate, tomentose, blunt, thick and measure 5 to 12 × 1.5 to 3 millimeters. The calyx is 3 millimeters long, its throat is bald. The crown is white and 5.5 to 6 millimeters long. Your lower lip is longer than your upper lip.

The flowering period extends from May to June.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 30.

Occurrence

Thymbra calostachya is endemic to the Lassiti prefecture of Crete . The species grows on limestone rocks on the south coast at altitudes from 0 to 250 meters.
