The Thyssenhöhe (also known as the South Dome ) is an 869 m high ice dome in the south of Berkner Island in the West Antarctic Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf . It rises southwest of Roberts Inlet .
German scientists named it in 1991 after the German geophysicist Franz Thyssen (1932–2009) from the University of Münster .
