Tiberius Aemilius Mamercus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tiberius Aemilius Mamercus was a politician in the legendary early phase of the Roman Republic from the Gens Aemilia . According to tradition, which is largely fictitious by science, he is said to have been consul twice : in 470 BC. With Lucius Valerius Potitus and in the year 467 BC. With Quintus Fabius Vibulanus .

Livy reports that Aemilius Mamercus waged war with the Sabines during his first consulate and that, like his father, he campaigned for the rights of the plebs in opposition to the ruling patriciate .

His father was the alleged three-time consul Lucius Aemilius Mamercus .
