Tiene (also Kitiene, Kitiini and Tende) is a Bantu language spoken by around 24,500 people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

It is widespread in the province of Bandundu around Bolobo .

classification

Tiene forms the Yanzi group with the languages Boma , Ding , Mfinu , Mpuono and Yansi . According to the classification of Malcolm Guthrie , Tiene belongs to the Guthrie zone B80.
